Getting to level 60 in Diablo 4 Season 12 really doesn't need to eat your whole day. If you keep moving and avoid the usual dead time, the climb feels way faster than people expect. I'd start on Normal, jump straight into the seasonal questline, and use a build that can wipe packs without stopping. Fast options are the whole point. If you've already sorted some Diablo 4 Items, the early stretch gets even smoother, but even without that, mobility matters more than almost anything. Subo is the mercenary I'd grab first because he saves you from wasting time wandering around the map. After that, Varyana is great for the attack speed boost, while Raheir feels better if your build needs help locking enemies down. And if the Butcher turns up early, don't panic and run. Most of the time, he's worth killing for the XP and the gear bump.

Levels 1 to 10
The first ten levels are pretty simple. Stay glued to the seasonal objectives and protect your kill streak whenever you can. That mechanic is doing a ton of heavy lifting this season. You get extra experience, extra reputation, and the pace just feels better when you're chaining kills instead of doubling back for loot every few seconds. Keep an elixir active too. It's easy to forget, but it's free experience, so there's no reason to skip it. A lot of players slow themselves down here by overthinking gear. Don't. At this stage, if it helps you kill faster or move faster, equip it and keep going.

Levels 10 to 30
Once tempering unlocks at level 10, the run opens up. This is where you start feeling stronger in a real way. Put movement speed on boots and amulet if you can, then add damage where it counts on your weapons. You'll notice the difference almost right away. From there, Helltides should be your main home until around level 30. The density is too good, and the cinders add another layer of value while you level. Open tortured chests when you can, pick up events on the way, and don't stand still longer than you have to. If a Helltide overlaps with Tree of Whispers tasks, that's one of those rare moments where the game feels almost too generous. You're getting multiple forms of progress at once, and that's exactly what makes a fast levelling route work.

Levels 30 to 45
At about level 30, it's worth taking a short detour into Strongholds. Not loads of them, just enough to unlock more Whisper options and give yourself better map flow. This is also the point where your class quest needs to be done if you haven't touched it yet. Leaving that too late can really mess with your damage and make the next stretch feel sluggish. Keep your weapons current, keep stacking movement speed where possible, and don't get distracted by gear that looks flashy but slows your clear speed. Around level 45, start thinking about the Capstone Dungeon. If your damage is fine but you feel squishy, make a few small fixes first. A defensive gem or one useful legendary can be enough.

From WT3 to 60
After you step into World Tier 3, the route doesn't suddenly change. You're still chasing monster density, still leaning on kill streaks, and still trying to waste as little time as possible between fights. Helltides get even better here, so keep farming them and adjust your build only when survival becomes a real issue. That might mean a bit more armour, a safer skill choice, or gambling for one missing piece. You'll hit 60 faster than it sounds if you stay disciplined and don't drift into low-value content. Then you're set up to move straight into the Pit, Paragon grinding, and the long hunt for better Diablo 4 materials while your endgame build starts coming together.
